20th Annual Elephant Garlic Festival

The Fascinating World of Reptiles

Head to the Fairview-Columbia Library for a free event with the Reptile Man, aka Richard Ritchey and meet his outstanding crew of snakes, lizards, turtles and tortoises! Richard has been winning the rapt attention of audiences throughout the Pacific Northwest for over 20 years and has assembled a traveling collection of scaled predators that is unrivaled in quality and reputation. 10:15am-11:15am, free. multcolib.org

Pan African Festival of Oregon

Head to Pioneer Courthouse Square for the 1st Pan African Festival, which aims to bring together people from Africa, African-Americans and Caribbeans for a day filled with entertainment, African food/clothing, informational booths, panel discussion and more. The goal beyond that is to celebrate and illuminate the hidden treasures of the Pan African community in Portland. Kids Obstacle Challenge

Kids Obstacle Challenge is an adventure and obstacle course event series for kids ages 5-16, with 10-15 fun and challenging obstacles and lots of mud! Kids Obstacle Challenge is designed for kids to push their limits and reach new heights! Participants can rope swing into a giant mud pit, army crawl through tough terrain, scale up rugged cargo nets, and slide into a muddy paradise! India Festival 2017
