City Fair

It’s the opening weekend of the Rose Festival City Fair! Head down to the Tom McCall Waterfront Park for some classic Portland celebrations. Opening night kicks of with a huge fireworks display set to music and a rockin’ dance party in the RoZone. Scope out the following weekends for even more fun, like arts and crafts, a kids zone, Walk on the Wild Side exotic animals and more! $8 ages 7 and over, rosefestival.org

Meteorite and Family Fun Day

Have some space cadets on your hands? Then scoop ‘em up and bring ‘em to the Meteorite and Family Fun Day at the Rice Museum of Rocks and Minerals. Listen in on a super educational talk by Dick Pugh of the Cascadia Meteorite Laboratory and learn tons of facts about fireballs, meteorites and outer space. Oh yes, he will bring his collection of meteorites to share, and the whole family will have the chance to take part in fun activities (like make your own impact crater!). Multnomah County Fair + Art in the Park Festival

Celebrate this Memorial Day Weekend with a county fair and Portland’s beloved Art in the Park Festival! This event (two events??) is packed full of awesome family fun.
