While exploring the rambling old house her family recently moved into, Coraline finds a hidden door leading to a fantasy version of her boring life. But to remain in this ideal world, she must make a frighteningly real sacrifice. Celebrate the 10th anniversary of Coraline, created by Portland’s own LAIKA, with the visually stunning film projected on the giant screen while the Oregon Symphony performs Bruno Coulais’ haunting soundtrack live. 7:30pm, Tickets $35-$80. nwkidsmagazine.com/events

Mario Andretti
Mario Andretti: Racing Royalty @ World of Speed Motorsports Museum

On March 23, World of Speed Motorsports Museum will unveil the new exhibit, Mario Andretti: Racing Royalty, honoring the most successful American race car driver of all time. The feature exhibit celebrates the 50th anniversary of his Pike’s Peak and Indianapolis 500 race wins, as well as his success across five decades in 11 styles of racing. This retrospective of his achievements features vehicles from some of those important wins as well as other cars from his storied race career. Along with this retrospective, the Museum is proud to present original interview film footage with Mario himself, his twin brother Aldo, son Michael, and grandson Marco. 9am-5pm, Tickets $5-$10 (members free). nwkidsmagazine.com/events

Cloth Diapering on a Budget @ PDX Diaper Bank

This is a free workshop for income eligible families interested in cloth diapering their child(ren). Attendees receive great information, resources, and free gently-used cloth diapering supplies. Families receiving WIC, SNAP or other government subsidies are automatically eligible. Babies are welcome. Curious about another great way to reuse and save? Come to this class and learn about cloth diapers as well as reusable menstrual products from a small local business, GladRags! We’ll be talking all about cloth pads and menstrual cups and answering your questions. Each attendee will also get a free cloth pad to take home! PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED
