Happy December, friends! We seem to have leapt straight from Halloween to the holiday season without passing Go or collecting $200. This month’s issue is focused on the season at hand. From Hanukkah events and holiday performances to dazzling light displays and winter break camps, you’ll find it here. As always, head to nwkidsmagazine.com/events to check out our extensive online calendar!

As this quarter century draws to a close, we certainly have plenty to ponder in regard to our journeys as humans and as caregivers to children. I visited ZooLights last week with friends who were my neighbors during the beginning of Covid. We were reflecting upon how uncertain everything was in the world, but how we still felt that we had a loving and supportive community very nearby. This is coming through in spades as the tensions and fears are escalating in our communities. Continuing to point out the kindnesses, big and small, is what’s carrying me through. When my kids point them out to me, my mom heart bursts.  ❤️

May your family’s season be filled with love, warmth, joy and a sense of hope for a new year that brings only more of the same.

Cheers!
